About Us
The 45th Parallel EMS is a private not for profit New Hampshire corporation providing emergency medical service (EMS) on a regional basis (the 1st in New Hampshire) to six (6) New Hampshire towns – Pittsburg, Clarksville, Stewartstown, Colebrook, Columbia and Dixville along with four (4) Vermont towns: Canaan, Norton, Lemington, and Bloomfield. The organization is except from Federal Income tax under section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code. As a result of this determination, contributions are tax deductable. The Board of Directors are comprised on an appointed representative from each of the ten (10) towns served along with two (2) members from the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital, a member each from the area fire departments – Pittsburg, Beecher Falls, and Colebrook. Two additional members are elected by the board of directors and are considered “at large” directors. The Board of Directors and whom they represent is as follows:
